Products and services:
  1. Geochemical Analysis

These are services of geochemical analytic laboratory tests, in sedimentary, superficial, channel or of nucleus rocks’ samples, and in samples of fluid hydrocarbons, fluid or gaseous, for oil industry applications, essentially. Geochemical laboratory tests include the following analysis and services:

    Channel samples analysis.
    • Pyrolysis in channel sample.
    • Determination of organic carbon.

Nucleus or outcrop rock samples’ analysis.
    • Pyrolysis in total and extracted sample.
    • Determination of activation energies.
    • Hydrocarbons’ extraction in rock samples through soxhlet technique.
    • Hydrocarbons’ extraction with supercritical CO2 in rock samples.
    • Sulphur determination in rock samples, through high temperature combustion.
    • Deasphalting of rock extract.
    • Separation of fractions by saturated compounds, aromatics, resins and asphaltenes through high pressure liquids’ chromatography.
    • Analysis of the total rock extract through high resolution gases’ chromatography.
    • Saturated biomarkers’ analysis, terpanes and steranes through gases chromatography/mass spectrometry
    • Aromatic biomarkers’ analysis phenanthrene, methyl-phenanthrenes, dibenzothiophene, dimethyldibenzothiphenes through gases chromatography / mass spectrometry.
    • Carbazoles’ analysis in the polar fraction of the rock extract by gases’ chromatography / mass spectrometry.
    • Stable carbon isotopes analysis in samples of rock extract by mass spectrometry.
    • Detailed analysis of minor components located between paraffins C8-C15 (molecular prints of ROF hydrocarbons), through high resolution gases’ chromatography.
    • Determination of organic carbon.
    • Total analytical range analysis in rock.

    Analysis to oils’ samples.
    • Hydrocarbons’ separation in samples of water.
    • Sulphur determination in oils’ samples, through high temperature combustion.

    • Gas isotopic and compositional analysis.

    Benefits:
Results of geochemical analytical laboratory tests are decision elements important to the design or adaptation of reserves’ incorporation exploratory strategies or of fields’ exploitation. Also, these determinations are judging elements for delimiting responsibilities in the case there are controversies between private parties.

    Relevant experiences:
    • Analytical laboratory services for exploration assets.
    • Isotopic gas analysis.
    • Studies of shoals.
    • Training and formation of geochemical specialists.
    • Geochemical analysis.
