Products and services:
  1. Applied geology studies.

Applied geology studies in a location consist in characterizing lithological, stratigraphic and structural conditions, as well as geo-mechanical characteristics, related to the presence of superficial and underground water, or of possible pollutants, to determine the appropriate location, founding and operation of oil or industrial facilities. Petrophysical properties of rocks are determined in terms of fracturing, porosity and permeability as well as superficial and underground water dynamics, correlating these aspects with the safety they represent for the afore mentioned facilities.
    • Summary of lithological, stratigraphic and structural information in general, including outcrops, subsoil, geophysical logs, surveys and resistivity geo-electrical sections and electro-magnetic surveys.
    • Megascopic, microscopic and geochemical sample’s studies using petrography techniques of transmitted light and if necessary electro micro scanner.
    • Characterization, classification and description of geological and hydro-geological frameworks.
    • Characterization and description of litho-stratigraphic and hydro-geological units in the area.
    • Determination of geological structures and their activity degree.
    • Chronology of geological events.
    • Correlation sections and Petrophysical, geo-technical (static and dynamic) and hydro-geological properties’ maps.
    • Assessment of the quality index of rocks where oil facilities are projected or remain set.
    • Hydro-geological study and model, integrating outcrops and subsoil information, with data of wells, geophysical survey, piezometric measurements and hydraulic conductivity tests.

    Benefits:
These types of studies provide clients with informative elements for the operational activities or development of facilities’ planning, from the knowledge of their geological and hydro-geological surroundings; allowing them to tune their strategies for the full use of infrastructure and compliance of social, security or environmental regulations.

    Relevant experiences:
    • Determination of geological risk for relocation of a repumping station GDA Norte.
    • Geological study to determine the best option for lines’ cross over in the urban area of Jimenez, Chihuahua.
    • Feasibility study for the natural gas underground storage project, in the modalities of depressed deposits and/or saline caverns.

Requirements: Depending on the user’s needs and requirements.

Cost: Variable price depending on scope.
