When conceiving the posgraduate as a space of convergence of the most significant activities of IMP, it is considered fundamental for students to develop in a scientific and professional environment of excellence.

The institute has a staff of 258 doctors, 167 belong to SNI (National System of Investigators), 551 masters who participate in investigation, products development and industrial application projects. Also, IMP has guest investigators in their sabbatical posdoctorate.
